4X4 Evo is a truck racing game with a story similar as that of Gran Turismo. Your aim is to make money winning races so you can buy more and better trucks.
4X4 Evo includes over 70 licensed trucks, which you will not only be pitted against but also be able to purchase. The game takes you over all sorts of terrain such as roads, dirt tracks or forests, in different weather conditions and times of day.
One of the strengths of the game is that you can create and load your own map, giving you much more playing time. Online Mode is also great fun, as you can race against other 4X4 Evo gamers.
4X4 Evo has unfortunately been abandoned a while ago, leaving us with this version which will only work on Mac OS Classic. One of the major downsides to this is that you'll get much weaker graphics than you could normally enjoy on your Mac. 4X4 Evo being abandoned, it will also be much harder for you to find others to play Online Mode with.
If you still run Mac OS Classic you'll probably enjoy 4X4 Evo. Most other Mac users should turn to better racing games.
